About Your Massage Therapists

All of our therapists are Nationally Certified, Licensed Massage Therapists that have been practicing massage for a minimum of a year. With different backgrounds and eclectic training in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Triggerpoint Therapy, Myofascial Release, Prenatal Massage, Reiki and more, you are sure to find a good fit for your wellness needs.

Rachel Hazelwood, Owner, LMT, Reiki Master/Teacher

After becoming dissatisfied with the "turn and burn" environment of another area spa, Rachel began Healing Hands in 2006. "Having my own practice allows me to take my time with my clients, and to really establish a therapeutic relationship," she says. Most of her clients are regulars who have been coming for years, but she welcomes new faces. Healing Hands is more personable than a fast-paced spa environment would allow. As a massage therapist herself, Rachel stays in touch with the needs of her clients and staff and is always open to feedback about how to make the experience even better.

Rachel trained at the Charleston School of Massage. Her massage is strong and gentle, slow and flowing, and is often described as "heavenly". She excels in giving both a wonderfully relaxing massage, and a pain relieving, deep tissue treatment. Also a Reiki Master/Teacher, Rachel brings powerful, soothing energy to her massage and focuses on whole person wellness. She offers periodic Reiki Classes, and a monthly Reiki Share. She also offers Shiatsu sessions by request. Rachel has a Bachelor's degree in psychology and graduated with Honors from the College of Charleston. She practices yoga, aromatherapy, EFT and is continuously reading and learning about holistic health. She is a proud wife, and mother of a two year old son. She is additionally certified in Prenatal Massage and Fertility Massage, and has also completed a certification in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Hailey Knight, LMT, Reiki I

Hailey trained at the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage in 2008. She gives a very relaxing massage while focusing on relieving very specific muscular tension with gentle, deep pressure and stretching. Also trained in Swedish massage, Hailey's work focuses on whole body wellness and fluidity. Hailey has her Reiki I certificate and is additionally certified in Claire Miller's Nurturing the Mother™ prenatal massage and Fertility Massage.

Anna Nielson, LMT, Reiki I

Anna studied massage at the North Georgia Technical College, and was presented with an award for the "Most Asked For Massage" by her peers, professors, and clients. After completion of her required massage courses, she worked as a student massage therapist and completed an additional 200 hours of student training. Shortly after receiving her massage licensing, Anna added Reiki training to her healing reportoire. She studied traditional Usui Reiki and received her Reiki I attunement, which she usually incorporates gently into her massage techniques.

Anna's massage is comprised of gentle, soothing strokes, while making her clients feel relaxed and well grounded. She is equally talented at "digging in" for a deep tissue massage for those who prefer the workout results of that "good hurt" deep massage. Anna's down to earth personality and comforting repoire with her clients, combined with her intuitive ability to "see" what the muscles are "asking for" gives her massage a unique edge.

When Anna is not massaging, she is spending time with her husband and year-and-a-half old daughter. She's also a bit of a "jack-of-all-trades" and surprised us with repairing our sink in a few minutes while we were looking up the phone number for the repair person! Her diverse background also enables her to easily relate to people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

David Carter, LMT

Skye Paige, LMT

Skye got her massage certificate from Charleston School of Massage in 2006. Her massage is strong, fast paced, and "hurts so good". She is experienced in working alongside chiropractic care in providing relief for specific pain complaints. Skye incorporates polarity therapy and qi-gong massage, and specializes in full body deep tissue, sports, and triggerpoint work. She loves to give spa treatments and leaves her clients feeling wonderfully relaxed and pampered. She is a mother of two young boys and also a very talented musician.
