Rachel Hazelwood, Owner, LMT #4702, Reiki Master/Teacher

Rachel began Healing Hands in 2006. A holistic wellness professional, Rachel is a licensed massage therapist, a Reiki Master, and an EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) practitioner. She is also certified in prenatal and fertility massage. Rachel's massage is slow and flowing, but with just the right amount of pressure. And don’t let her small size fool you. Rachel knows how to throw her weight around, even if there isn’t much of it. While she is highly skilled in softer Swedish techniques, she also excels at digging down right into the problem areas for that therapeutic deep tissue massage that can alleviate chronic pain – all with a soothing touch that many therapists cannot achieve with deep pressure.

Rachel’s specialties range from shoulder issues to sports massage as well as prenatal and fertility massage. As a Reiki Master and Teacher, she holds regular Reiki Workshops as well as monthly Reiki Shares. Her Reiki-ssage is complete bliss, combining massage and Reiki into one relaxing service.

Rachel has a bachelor's degree in psychology, having graduated with honors from the College of Charleston, and completed her massage training at the Charleston School of Massage. She practices yoga, aromatherapy, and EFT, and is continuously reading and learning about holistic health. She is a proud wife, and mother of a four year old son.

Anna Nielson, LMT #6572, Reiki II

Anna studied massage at the North Georgia Technical College, and was presented with an award for the "Most Asked For Massage" by her peers, professors, and clients. After completion of her required massage courses, she worked as a student massage therapist and completed an additional 200 hours of student training. Shortly after receiving her massage licensing, Anna added Reiki training to her healing reportoire. She studied traditional Usui Reiki and is a Reiki II practitioner, which she incorporates gently into her massage techniques. Anna is also available for Reiki sessions.

Anna's massage is comprised of gentle, soothing strokes, while making her clients feel relaxed and well grounded. She is equally talented at "digging in" for a deep tissue massage for those who prefer the workout results of that "good hurt" deep massage. Anna's down to earth personality and comforting repoire with her clients, combined with her intuitive ability to "see" what the muscles are "asking for" gives her massage a unique edge. Anna has also trained extensively in lymphatic drainage massage, and offers this highly specialized service at Healing Hands.

When Anna is not massaging, she is spending time with her husband and three year old daughter. She's also a bit of a "jack-of-all-trades" and surprised us with repairing our sink in a few minutes while we were looking up the phone number for the repair person! Her diverse background also enables her to easily relate to people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Alyssa Jones, LMT #4855

Alyssa gives a flowing massage, albeit with a firm touch. She has very relaxing energy, and her clients report feeling relaxed before she even begins working on them! She also excels at deep tissue massage, and is able to combine the relaxation of a Swedish massage with the pressure of a deep tissue massage in an effortless manner.

Alyssa takes great pride in her massage and sincerely cares about each and every client. In her "other life," she is involved in accounting, and she greatly enjoys massage as a means of more personally connecting with others.
